We're currently consulting on:
Call for Sites for Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople
We're looking at options to increase the number of suitable sites for Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople. We'll complete a further call for sites as agreed with the Local Plan inspectors.
This is an opportunity for anyone to suggest land that could be used for the development of Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople accommodation.
Submitting a site does not mean it will automatically be allocated for development.
We'll assess the sites for their suitability and appropriate sites may be proposed as additional development allocations for consideration during the examination.
How to suggest sites
To suggest suitable sites you should:
- download a copy of the form from Opus Consult
- return all forms to planning.policy@medway.gov.uk.
The Call for Sites runs from Monday 8 June to Monday 20 July 2026.
