The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) explains how we will involve the community in the preparation of local planning policy documents.
It will also explain how we consult on planning applications, including the standards expected from developers with major proposals.
The current Statement of Community Involvement was adopted in 2014.
Have your say on our updated SCI
We have produced a new version which responds to new requirements to clarify how we support and assist local groups preparing neighbourhood plans.
We are inviting comments on this updated version of the Statement of Community Involvement.
The consultation period will run from 11 January to 5pm on Friday 22 February 2019.
Copies of the document are also available to the public at Medway libraries, and at our council offices at Gun Wharf, during normal working hours.
