Housing Delivery Test Action Plan
The council has updated its Housing Delivery Test Action Plan (HDTAP). This considers the main barriers to building more houses within Medway.
The latest Housing Delivery Test (HDT) results were published in January 2022. Medway scored 67% of delivery compared with the defined housing requirement.
The action plan reviews the:
- work the council is doing to deliver housing within Medway
- major causes of under delivery
- actions needed to increase the amount and rate of delivery of new homes.
Implementation of the action plan will be monitored, with more work being done to understand how to increase housebuilding.
The HDTAP was approved by cabinet on 5 July 2022.
