Local Development Scheme
The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, as amended, requires local planning authorities to prepare, maintain and publish a Local Development Scheme (LDS). The scheme provides public information on the process and timetable for the preparation and review of local development documents and is used by the council to help plan resources and work streams.
The current Medway scheme was approved by the council’s Cabinet on 16 January 2018. This sets out a three-year programme for the production of a new local plan for Medway.
We will report on progress on the Local Development Scheme in our annual Authority Monitoring Report.
