The statutory deadline for completing the 2020 to 2021 audit was 30 November 2020. These accounts were made available for public inspection from 24 August to 5 October 2020 and were approved by the Audit Committee following successful completion of the audit on 14 October 2021.

Each year the council’s Statement of Accounts is subject to external audit by Grant Thornton UK LLP. Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounts and any relevant documents.
We give notice that Medway Council’s draft Statement of Accounts for year ended 31 March 2022 have not yet been completed and are therefore unavailable for inspection.
The delay in this publication is due to the on-going impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on resources and the audit of the Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2022 is yet to be concluded. The draft Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2022 will be published and made available on this webpage as soon as it's practical to do so.
This notice of delayed publication is being published in response to Regulation 15 (1A) of the Accounts and Audit regulations 2015, as amended.
