A better Medway

There are services available that can help people who misuse drugs and/or alcohol.

We provide two services that offer support, from medical intervention, including counselling and medication, to services that help integrate people back into communities. We also have online interventions to support you at home.  

Turning Point

Turning Point can support people who have problematic substance misuse during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

They are able to offer a limited face to face support service. Treatments are still available.

Open Road

Open Road offer a wellbeing and recovery service to support those looking to stay substance free, develop a new set of skills and no longer be defined by their substance taking.

Open Road can support you to stay drug and alcohol free during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

While groups are suspended and the centre in Chatham centre is closed, some face to face appointments are available and online and phone support is running as usual.

Other groups

There are also mutual aid groups in Medway that offer confidential peer led support including Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
