Poor living conditions include:

  • serious damp problems
  • homes that need major repairs
  • staying somewhere that will put your families health at serious risk.

If you're experiencing poor living conditions, you need to:

  • speak to your landlord or letting agent about the problems and ask them to repair it
  • keep a record of all communication between you, your landlord and letting agent
  • take photos and, where possible, gather reports from professionals about the issues with the property
  • ask your GP or other medical professionals to write about how these conditions affect or harm you or your family.
