Medway Joint Carers' Strategy
We've developed the Medway Joint Carers' Strategy to champion the vital role carers play in supporting the health and wellbeing of residents.
This strategy was developed in partnership with carers, stakeholders and health and social care services to ensure it reflects real experiences and needs.

About the strategy
The strategy outlines how Medway’s health and social care services will work collaboratively with carers, voluntary organisations and stakeholders to:
- identify and recognise all carers in Medway
- provide high-quality information, advice and support
- ensure carers are involved in assessments and support planning
- deliver accessible and high-quality carers’ services
- support carers’ emotional and physical wellbeing
- respect carers’ expertise and lived experience.
The strategy aligns with the Adult Social Care Strategy to ensure joined-up planning and consultation for both carers and the people they care for.
