The Strand outdoor swimming and paddling pools will not open this year due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We understand that this will be disappointing news but the safety and wellbeing of visitors is our top priority.

The Strand is a popular Medway destination in Gillingham. There are a range of facilities which are open to all for family fun and swimming.

 

 

Outdoor pool opening times

The Strand parkland is open but The Strand pool, paddling pool and children's play area remains closed until further notice.

Parking charges apply from 7am to 1am at The Strand and costs: 

  • £1 for up to 1 hour
  • £1.50 for 1 to 2 hours
  • £2.50 for 2 to 4 hours
  • £3.50 for 4 to 6 hours 
  • £5.20 for over 6 hours
