New NHS Test and Trace app launches on 24 September
By 24 September you must display an NHS Test and Trace QR poster at your entrance if your business type is on this list. Failure to do so could result in a prosecution or a fixed penalty fine.

Please encourage your colleagues to download the app. The new app allows people to report symptoms and order a coronavirus test.
Customers who cannot scan the QR code
If anyone does not scan the QR code you must take their details which should include:
- name of each customer
- contact phone number or email address
- date of visit
- arrival time and, where possible, departure time or estimated departure time
- name of the assigned staff member: if a customer will interact with only one member of staff (for example, a hairdresser)
This information must be stored for 21 days and shared with NHS Test and Trace, if required.
You must refuse entry to customers who refuse to scan or log their details.
