NHS Test and Trace updates

Your help is needed: The new NHS Test and Trace app launches on Thursday 24 September 2020.

Support NHS Test and Trace to prevent more infections. Register, download and display your venue check-in QR code poster from 24 September. This will enable your visitors and customers to check in to your venue by scanning the QR code using the app. It will help the NHS trace individuals that may have coronavirus.

The new app allows people to report symptoms and order a coronavirus test. Create your own venue check-in posters.

Please also encourage your colleagues to download the app.

From Friday 18 September, all hospitality and leisure businesses along with close-contact businesses (including hairdressers
and nail parlours) will be required by law to support NHS Test and Trace.

You must collect customer information, including name, address and contact details. From Thursday 24 September, if your customer cannot scan your QR code poster, you must continue to collect customer information.

This information must be stored for 21 days and shared with NHS Test and Trace if they contact you.

Check how to run Test and Trace data collection on your premises.

info Help with demand for personal protective equipment

As you may be aware, there is a potential shortage of protective gowns within the NHS.

You can help if you're a local textile or clothing manufacturer and have the capacity to help fulfil the demand.

If you know of any business which might be able to adapt their business and help with the creation of protective gowns, please ask them to email us directly at businessandskills@medway.gov.uk.
