How types of parking fines are issued
A parking fine, also known as a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) can be issued to you by a civil enforcement officer (CEO).
They may give you a parking fine by either:
- fixing it to your vehicle
- handing it to the person driving the vehicle.
A parking PCN can also be sent to you by post if the penalty charge notice was issued by:
- CCTV
- a CEO who was unable to fix the PCN to the vehicle
- a CEO who was unable to fix the penalty charge notice to the vehicle before it was driven away.
