Blue Badge

A Blue Badge gives additional parking rights to people with severe disabilities, terminal illnesses, mobility problems or those who have difficulty using public transport.

A Blue Badge is valid for 3 years and costs £10. This fee also applies when replacing or renewing a badge.

A badge holder can park for free:

  • in allocated disabled bays and on the street
  • in any Medway car park for the maximum stay (except The Brook)
  • on single or double yellow lines for up to 3 hours
  • in a controlled parking zone (CPZ).

Always check the payment boards before parking.

You may be able to use a Blue Badge abroad. Find out more about using your Blue Badge in EU countries and some non-EU countries.
