Medway Park's elite-standard athletics track is built to IAAF standard, with a 10-lane 100m straight track.

Comprehensive field event facilities include a hammer and discus cage, shooting range, and necessary attachments for disability field events. It has been approved for Olympic and Paralympic training.

It can host top-level athletics meetings, as well as being available for school and casual community use.

Weekday sessions

The athletics track is available for public use during our weekday opening hours, subject to availability.

Weekend sessions

The athletics track is available for public use on:

  • Saturday, 1pm to 3.30pm
  • Sunday 8am to 3.30pm.

This is subject to weekend events. Booking is not required. If you have any queries or need help, please call us on 01634 336 655.

Use of the track

Track sessions are included as part of Premier Memberships.

  • junior/senior non-member: £5.40
  • adult non-member: £7.75
  • junior/senior admission pass holder: £3.40
  • adult admission pass holder: £4.75.

Medway Sport running track session

This session aims to encourage running at our excellent facility under the floodlights.

It costs £4 per person (and includes admission fee and memberships apply).

The session runs on Mondays, 7.30pm to 9pm, at Medway Park.

Club and event hire

The track is available to hire for school, college or community events. Clubs can book or enquire by emailing medwaypark@medway.gov.uk.

Medway and Maidstone Athletics Club

The facilities are home to Medway and Maidstone Athletics Club, Kent's premier athletics club. The club provides training and competition for athletes of all standards. Road running, track and field, and cross country teams compete in local, regional and national events.
