We cannot use Google Forms online due to compliance reasons.
In summary, the issues are:
- data protection: non-GDPR compliance such as the data being transferred to non-complaint countries
- business continuity: the data is isolated from all other corporate systems (and likely linked to and managed by a single person)
- it's not part of the council’s software ecosystem: therefore not assessed against council minimum standards and there is no support and no supplier relationship to be aware of vulnerabilities.
