City Way verge improvement scheme consultation
We’re proposing improvements to the grass verges along City Way in Rochester to help protect and enhance this important part of the street.
The consultation closed on Monday 31 August.
Medway Tree Strategy
We consulted on a new Tree Strategy to guide how trees and green infrastructure are planted, protected, and enhanced for years to come.
The survey closed on Sunday 16 August 2026.
Chatham play area improvements
We asked to hear your views on what you think of the following play areas in Chatham and how they could be improved:
- Balfour recreation ground
- Barnfield recreation ground
- Garden Street, Brompton play area.

Walking and cycling improvements consultation
We consulted on 6 proposed schemes, drawn from the adopted Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan, which have been designed to make it safer, easier and more attractive for people to walk, wheel and cycle.

Pavement safety consultation
We consulted on a proposed new policy to help manage items on pavements outside businesses including:
- advertising boards (A-boards)
- shop displays
- stock and other items.
The consultation closed on Monday 27 July 2026 at 11.59pm.
Call for Sites
We're looking at options to increase the number of suitable sites for Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople.
The consultation closed on Monday 20 July 2026.
Medway Local Plan 2041 supporting evidence documents consultation
We consulted on the Medway Local Plan 2041 supporting evidence documents.
The majority of documents that were open for consultation were available at the Regulation 19 consultation stage in June 2025. These documents were updated based on the latest information available before the Local Plan was submitted for examination.
The consultation closed on Monday 6 July 2026.

Nuisance vehicle Public Space Protection Order survey
We consulted on a proposal to extend the current PSPO for nuisance vehicles across Medway.

Extended: Private rented sector licensing consultation
We wanted to hear your views on proposals for a selective licensing scheme and additional licensing scheme in Medway.
Following the identification of a technical issue affecting access to the online consultation survey during the final weekend of the consultation period, we have reopened and extended the consultation.
