Celebrating Strood and Rainham town centres, we have commissioned 8 local artists to create an outdoor gallery of temporary artworks in the town centres for the community to enjoy.

These artworks celebrate and share everything that makes the town centres special and welcoming places for people to live, work and visit.

The artworks launched on Saturday 26 March 2022.

Download our Welcome Map to find out the locations of the artworks and details about the artists involved.

When you spot the artworks, make sure to tag Medway Arts on FacebookTwitter or Instagram.

This opportunity is funded by The Welcome Back Fund from the European Regional Development Fund, and administered by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

The objective for this funding is to create and promote a safe environment for local trade and tourism, particularly in high streets, as their economies continue to cope with the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
