Using the online account, you can:

  • check your up-to-date Council Tax account information
  • go paperless by signing up for e-billing 
  • view, download and print bills.

Sign up for a My Council Tax Online account

To sign up for a My Council Tax Online account, you must first have a Medway Council Tax account. Find out how to register for Council Tax.

To sign up, you’ll need to enter the name of the person the Council Tax bill or recovery notice is addressed to and the payment reference number (also known as Council Tax account number). Find these details on your Council Tax bill.

Texts and emails about My Council Tax Online

How to register for Council Tax

You'll need to register for Council Tax if you’ve moved to an area or you’re liable to pay Council Tax for the first time.

If you've received a Council Tax bill, you are already registered for Council Tax.

If you have not been sent a Council Tax bill

If you’ve moved home and have not had a new bill sent to your new address, you can update your address online and we’ll send you a bill.

If you have not moved, or you’ve updated your address and still have not received your bill you can request a new bill by emailing
