Pay your Council Tax

Paying your Council Tax by Direct Debit or online is a quick, easy and secure way of paying your bill without the worry of not paying on time.

Pay by Direct Debit

The easiest and most secure way you can pay Council Tax is by Direct Debit.

You will need to have your payment reference number as shown on your Council Tax bill to complete this form. This helps us to deal with your request more efficiently.

Pay by Direct Debit and:

  • choose to pay on the 1st, 15th or 28th of the month over 10 months or 12 months.
  • pay automatically but you can cancel at any time
  • avoid late payments
  • payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee and refunded by your bank if there’s a mistake.

You will pay the same amount of Council Tax in a year if you choose to pay over 10 months or over 12 months.

If you choose to pay over 10 months, you will pay a higher payment but will have February and March payment free. If you pay over 12 months, you will pay every month of the year with no payment break.

Pay Council Tax by Direct Debit

Pay online

To pay online by debit or credit card, you’ll need:
